AUTHOR: Lisa Jane Smith

BEST SELLERSDark Visions Trilogy, The Night World, The Vampire Diaries and many more.

SYNOPSIS:                                  CAN THE SECRET CIRCLE SURVIVE?
Lured into the most popular in-crowd imaginable, Cassie is intoxicated by her newfound strength, a power as addictive as it is perilous. Caught between two members' consuming desires to use the coven's mysterious force, Cassie turns to one of their boyfriends, Adam--and falls captive to her own dangerous love. Bewitched by the promise of love through magic, Cassie captures Adam's heart and upsets the delicate balance of power, unleashing a storm of fury no one anticipates....

Or Will The Dark Struggle Of Good, Evil, And Tormented Love Consume Them All?

EXCERPT: "Fire, Cassie thought. All around her she saw blazing autumn colors. The yellow-orange of sugar maple, the brilliant red of sassafras, the crimson of sumac bushes. It was as if the entire world was flaming with Faye's element. And I'm trapped in the middle of it. The sick feeling in the pit of Cassie's stomach got worse with every step she took down Crowhaven Road....[L]aurel just grabbed her by the waist and hustled her inside and upstairs to Diana's bedroom. Diana was standing in front of the large walnut cabinet; Melanie was sitting on the bed. Sean was perched uneasily in the window seat, rubbing his knees with his palms. Adam was standing beside him. Cassie met those blue-gray eyes for only an instant, but it was long enough. They were the color of the ocean at its most mysterious, sunlit on the surface but with incomprehensible depths underneath. The rest of his face was the same as ever: arresting and intriguing, pride showing in the high cheekbones and determined mouth, but sensitivity and humor showing there too. His face looked different only because last night Cassie had seen those eyes midnight blue with passion, and had felt that mouth . . . Not by word or look or deed, she told herself fiercely..."

MSM Speaks: Second one from the Secret Circle Trilogy, so fast paced and fascinating, that I finished this and the last installment in one day. Ms. Lisa Jane, I heart your books. Coming to the point, this books shows Cassie's involvement with the Secret Circle and too many conflicts and fights, have put Cassie, in Fire. Literally, Faye, the witch with an attraction for Darkness, has bound Cassie with herself in deal and Cassie, who wants to save the two people she loves - Adam and Diana - finds the pull and the game, too dangerous. Yet, she has no way out, except to comply with Faye's instructions and evil - if unplanned - intentions.

And Cassie, now sees herself as a small part of The Circle. She is on the wrong side and finally, she stops fighting or feeling guilty. The coldness that finds way into Cassie and the manipulations lead her to take a step, which ruins the delicate balance of the Evil and the Good. It is now on Cassie, to fight every single dark factor, that seems to be attracted to her allure. And her incorrigible timing of being at wrong place, will show her that she could be an important link in discovering the source of all the deaths which are occurring in the town of New Salem.

Finally, Cassie realizes that she is so much entangled in Darkness, that she really is Captive now. Will Cassie completely come over to the Dangerous Dark Side, which calls to Cassie or will she stand up and fight for what is right? You have to read this to know the most fascinating tale, which Smith spins. This 2nd installment is fast moving and the reader dips in and out with Cassie's indecisiveness. L.J. Smith gives her readers important choices and also provides the heroine of the book, with enough brains to stand on her own two feet. After reading this one, I immediately had picked up the last one of the Trilogy. Loved it to the core! I am Captivated, are you? :D Read this for MSM, fellas. Won't you?

My Rating 4.75/5 (Captivity is surely not that bad :D)
