Faeries are known for their love of sweets and candy, So this week's prompt is -

What is a book that was so sweet you worries you might get a cavity ?

When Arthur and Ben meet-cute at the post office, what exactly does the universe have in store for them?
Maybe nothing. After all, they get separated.
Maybe everything. After all, they get reunited.
But what if they can’t quite nail a first date . . . or a second first date . . . or a third?
What if Arthur tries too hard to make it work . . . and Ben doesn’t try hard enough?
What if life really isn’t like a Broadway play?
But what if it is?

Most of my favorite YA books in recent years have been about queer love stories.  Many of the stories , though end on a happy note , have shades of sadness , angst , and pain from defining who they are and later defending their identity. 

This book - What if it's us on the other hand had all hangups of  any other teenage love story - the chances , the coincidences , the confusion and above all the whole larger than life image of Love - falling in love , being in love and even when moving away, there was friendship to take its place forever. all of this sweetness without the pain and sadness. This is a story of opposites attract + universe conspiring + Special gestures gone hilariously sideways ! 

Ben and Arthur will make you smile and think of all your firsts fondly and will stay in your heart long after the book is done. 

I am amazed I did not review this book ever, even when I have made a few close friends read it since.  Perhaps a re-read would be a good idea now :)
